David's warriors won earthly victories.
Jesus defeated sin, death, and the grave.
Jesus Is the Living Water from Bethlehem
The city that provided water to David would later give the world its Savior.
Life Application
2 Samuel 23 reminds us that God often works through ordinary people who remain faithful.
David's mighty men were not superheroes.

Likewise, believers today are called to remain faithful to King Jesus.
Stand firm like Eleazar.
Defend truth like Shammah.
Serve sacrificially like the mighty men.
And trust completely in the everlasting covenant secured through Christ.
